Perhaps you've seen them drawing in crowds at venues such as Studio 7, The Vera Project, or Volunteer Park. While the list of shows goes on, there's one thing about Moroccan Dog that you can't help but notice. This is a band that has a serious desire to play good, original music.

Formed in 2016, Moroccan Dog's origin is rooted in equal parts luck and dedication. Unlike many bands, they've been afforded the chance to grow under the advisement of stars and professionals from bands such as Soundgarden, King Crimson, Sky Cries Mary, Alice in Chains, and many more. This ability to correspond with their influences is something you can hear clearly in the writing, arrangement, and presence that Moroccan Dog brings to their music. This is rock done right, possessing just as much emotional appeal as it does showmanship.

"All I can really say is that we've been incredibly lucky, and I think that the music we're playing reflects that. We know how we want our stuff to sound, and generally we know just how to get it there." - Callan Spafford

With all of this in mind, Moroccan Dog has been hard at work organizing it's emergence in the Seattle music scene. They've just begun recording their debut album at Mozcozzi Studios in Capitol Hill, and are putting together a set of shows in anticipation of it's release.

"Although “Moroccan Dog” have only been around for a couple of years, you wouldn’t think so. The songs have a maturity way beyond their years. They are heading into the studio to record their 1st EP. Keep an eye out for this release!!"

-Michael Cozzi (Shriekback, Sky Cries Mary)
